GPHY 231 GIS Cartography
Students will be introduced to the basic concepts of geography and maps. They will learn the fundamentals of cartography and spatial data principles using thematic mapping concepts, methods and quantitative techniques. Students will learn the five main design principles: legibility, visual contrast, figure-ground, hierarchical organization, and balance.
