GPHY 261 GIS Technologies
Student completing this course will be able to recognize and understand the use of geospatial technologies (GPS, GIS) in a wide range of disciplines. Students will plan and implement a GPS/GIS mapping project using recreational grade receivers and the GIS software. . Students will identify mapping issues that could impact the accuracy of spatial data. Students acquire the knowledge and gained in class as a foundation for future work in the spatial sciences.
