SW 200 Introduction To Social Work Practice
This course is designed for second-year students as an introduction to the knowledge base, ethics, values and practice methods of social work. Students will be presented with a generalist framework for social work practice which can be applied to a wide range of service systems and settings. Particular attention will be paid to how social workers conceptualize and operationalize their practice with individuals, groups, families, and communities. Finally, the course will explore both student and social work values as they are related to the social diversity in our society.Â
