CAS 231 Pharmacology/ Addictions
This course explores specific classes of drugs, the study of substance use and abuse, as well as personal and societal attitudes and responses toward the drug phenomenon. Modes of treatment and prevention, the addictions process, causality, assessment and diagnosis are also covered as well as the interaction of drugs. Primary emphasis is on the effects of the chemicals on the brain function of the individual.
