GPHY 161 GPS Technologies: Data Collection

Students will learn to recognize and understand the use of spatial technologies (GPS, GIS and remote sensing). Students will plan and implement a GPS/GIS mapping project using GPS receivers and the ArcMap GIS software. They will identify mapping issues that could impact the accuracy of spatial data. Use knowledge and skills gained in this class as a foundation for future work in the spatial sciences.
